Marysville Mill Valley Work Day

Come hang out for a few hours with your disc golfing family for a fun work day to prep the Mill Valley South course for the Mill Valley Shootout, our Second Point Series event this year! Keith has been working very hard at putting this together. We will be removing trash, picking up fallen limbs and some minor trimming.

Hoover Work Days Honeysuckle Removal

Come and hang out with your disc golf community and volunteer some time to help keep a great course looking beautiful!  We have joined forces again, with the Columbus Ecological Restoration Program (CERP) , to remove the dead honeysuckle at Hoover again this year.

You must sign in once you arrive to participate in a removal project. If you are under the age of 18, we will need a parent or guardian to sign you in.

What a great day we had. The weather was perfect. Ninety-One players, what a way to start off the New Year!

Thank you to all of you who attended, volunteered or donated at this event.

Through all our efforts this year, we were able to raise $1200 for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

That money will provide over 5000 meals to needy families in central Ohio. We also collected 75 lbs. of food.

First, thank you for supporting this fundraising event for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Our efforts will help many families through tough times. I look forward to a great day.
 
Club Renewals/Join:
 
If you plan to renew or join at this event, please fill out a membership form before coming to check in.  There will be forms available.  Fees are now $25 New, $20 Renew.

To replace hole three, we are playing hole A long tee to pin I between holes 14 and 15.  Scorecards with out of bounds will be available at check-in

So far we have four chili entrants, if you would like to bring chili, let me know so we have outlets available.  I have plenty of napkins, bowls & utensils.  I have a few large serving spoons. There will be drinks for lunch. We will be ordering Fazolis to supplement the chili.  If you have anything to add to lunch feel free.

  • Everyone gets one throw
  • Additional throws are $1 each or $3 for 5 throws
  • Top 5 closest will throw off for basket

Format:

  • Each day will feature 1 round of 18 (Tee times will be assigned)
  • Field events taking place on Saturday only.

Note: If your tee time is later in the morning, you will need to do field events before your round.  Field events qualifying will close at 4 pm.

 

Open:

  • Saturday – long tees
  • Sunday – long tees

Masters/Grandmaster/Sr Grandmaster/Advanced:

  • Saturday – long tees
  • Sunday – short tees

Intermediate/Rec/Novice/Jr

  • Saturday – short tees
  • Sunday – short tees

Format subject to change at TD’s discretion

 

Field events will consist of

  1. Distance (longest of 6 drives)
  2. Accuracy (3 throws per stage, 6 stages, total in goal)
  3. Putting (best score out of 18 putts, round 9, two putts per stage)

The use of your own discs will be possible this year, at least a minimum of 6 discs will be required for each category and must all be thrown before retrieving any.

A point system will be applied to each area of competition, to determine the overall winner in every division.  Winners of individual categories will be recognized as well as the overall winners in all divisions.  Format subject to change at TD’s discretion

  • $500 Minimum added to pro purse
  • All amateurs will receive a custom stamped disc with event logo
  • All competitors receive an Arnold Sports Expo Pass, which allows you access to all areas any events Friday through Sunday. Wristbands will be available at Friday practice for those who want to attend any Arnold events.

All divisions, 1 round of 18 holes

Must be completed before your round or after based on when your tee time is.

9:00 am – First tee time start
All divisions, 1 round of 18 holes

4:00 pm(estimated) – Awards shortly after all disc golf rounds are over.
Field event awards will be available Sunday to those looking to leave before awards.  Disc Golf payouts can be ready after your divisions scores are completed, for those looking to leave before awards.
