Toys for Tot’s 2012
Disc Golf Benefit

Another successful Toys for Tot’s event is in the books. I cannot say THANK YOU enough to all of the disc golfers who came out on a wet drizzle filled Saturday to support such a wonderful cause. 25 players entered bringing with them enough toys to fill two of Santa’s sacks. With added donations from lunch, players returning there cash winnings, and others who were not able to attend, an additional $316 in cash will help buy more toys for families in need during this holiday season. A grand total of over $500 in value was raised by the Greatest, most Generous, and Caring disc golfers that I am proud to call my Friends.

I again want to say Thank You to Paul Jay for his knowledge and dedication in making this event run as well as it has, Cory Clark, Don Alexander, and Pat Sullivan, Thank You for lending a hand when needed. Shawn Draughon for making this thing happen. Joe Blankenship who now has the fun job of shopping for more Christmas toys. Mike Gates, I can never Thank You enough for the support and promotion you bring to this game we all love so much.

Where: Quaker Steak and Lube at Polaris Parkway

I hope everyone will come out and socialize with club members off the links, and celebrate another great disc golf season. We will have door prizes as well as end of the year awards. This is also a great way for us to show our appreciation to Quaker Steak and Lube for their support of the BHMO! If you are not a member yet and are thinking of joining, we would love to have you and your membership would be good for all of 2013, if you joined now.

2012 BHMO Open Champions

Once again the weather cooperates and a it was amazing from there. It appears the BHMO has some help, when it comes to great weather.;)

We had Brad Schick shooting great and in the final nine and finishing third in the Open division. We also had CFDGC members Jon Allen winning the Advanced Division, John Downs winning the Intermediate division, Don Alexander winning Advanced Grandmasters and local Maureen Miller winning Recreational Women.

I am pleased to say through everyones efforts last weekend we were able to raise $4500.00 for The Luekemia and Lymphoma Society! Hopefully everyone from players to spectators can feel a part of that!
