Brent Hambrick DGC Hole Renovation Project

First off the Flyers would like to thank everyone who was a part of yet another successful BHMO, whether it was as a player, spectator, or volunteer. With another BHMO behind us attention is shifting to another goal…

The Columbus Flyers have new baskets in their sights and are first seeking donations from any interested individuals or businesses. We would like to replace the full course, including the letter holes, meaning all 27 baskets. The baskets that are in the ground now are going to be held onto, with hopes of being used for another course in the future.

This project is going to be broken down into two parts, with new baskets coming first, followed by tee pads. Various levels of sponsorship will be offered, but every little bit helps.

$600 Gold sponsorship:  which will be used for a new teepad and basket. Gold sponsors will have their name or business engraved on a special plaque that will be displayed in the kiosk, as well as recognition on the hole as full hole equipment update sponsor.

$300 Silver sponsorship:  which will be used for a new basket. Silver sponsors will have their name or business engraved on a special plaque that will be displayed in the kiosk, as well as recognition on the hole as an hole update sponsor.

$100-299 Bronze sponsorship:  which will receive their name (or business) on the plaque.

Many enjoy this course, let’s come together as a community and knock this out. As of now there’s no tentative date when we will be ordering the baskets, we would like to get them in before the BHMO this year. This is all dependent on when we can raise over the necessary amount (~ $10,000) for the plaques and new baskets. New baskets will come first and later new teepads. If we don’t reach the full amount through donations we will run other fundraisers, until we are able to make new baskets a reality.

Alongside of the plaque and new baskets we’d also like to have a plaque made telling the story of Brent and how Hoover came to be. This would also be displayed in the kiosk near hole 1.

We can accept donations in a multitude of ways, whatever works best; cash, check, paypal, etc.

Thanks to everyone in advance, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact Ben Foster or Paul Jay and we’ll do our best to answer everything in a timely manner.

Please feel free to pass this information around and/or reach out to anyone or business you think may be interested and share my contact information with them.
